Omsk Oblast (Russian: О́мская о́бласть, Omskaya oblast) is a federal subject of Russia (an oblast), located in southwestern Siberia. It has an area of 139,700 km² and a population of 2,079,220 (2002 Census) with 1.1 million living in Omsk, the administrative center.Omsk Oblast is bordered by Kazakhstan in the south, Tyumen Oblast in the west and on the north, and Novosibirsk and Tomsk Oblasts in the east.
